The name Forty Five Designs was inspired by one of our favorite dog breeds. When we were thinking of a company name, all ideas led back to one thing- Greyhounds! So what better than the thing Greyhounds are known for most? Greyhounds can reach speeds of up to 45 miles per hour in just six strides!

We started making Biothane products for our own dogs when we just couldn't find what we were looking for, which was durability and bright colors. We tested products on our own sporting dogs first before ever considering selling our products. We strive to use genuine material and durable hardware. Our goal is to sell you a product that we feel safe using with our own dogs for years to come. We live on a farm, if our products can't accidentally be left outside overnight or the dogs can't go in the pond with their collars on without fear of being ruined, then that's not a product we want to produce. We source fun colors and quality hardware so we are able to provide our fellow dog owners with the highest quality at the most affordable prices possible.

We starting making predator calls for training our Greyhounds. While our Greyhounds don't hunt, they do participate in running activities where predator calls are used. Predator calls are also commonly used to help loose Greyhounds get home safe! We also use our predator calls for hunting when helping local farms eliminate predators that have been harming livestock. After we were successfully making predator calls, we moved on to making duck and goose calls as well. We have since perfected a unique style and we hope you are happy with our calls as we are!
